On this 3 day tour from your Cape Town accommodation to the Cape Winelands, you'll be visiting four South African wine farms each day covering the wine routes of Paarl, Wellington, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Helderberg, with exclusive premium wine tastings and two cellar tours.
The specialised wine tour package includes two nights accommodation in the Cape Winelands, with the first night in Franschhoek and the second night in Stellenbosch.
Since this is a private tour, we can customise the tour itinerary to suit your wine tasting and sightseeing interests. We’ll stop for lunch in the winelands each day, and children can be accommodated on this tour.
Wine Tour Day 1
Visiting Paarl, Wellington and Franschhoek • Collect you at your accommodation in Cape Town at 9am • Shalk Burger and Sons for wine tasting and cellar tour • Diemersfontein for wine tasting – with their well known Coffee Pinotage • Seidelberg in Paarl for wine tasting and lunch, with beautiful mountain views and great wine • Fairview Estate for cheese and wine tasting and cellar tour, with great vibe and goat shed. • Drop off at accommodation in beautiful Franschhoek at 4 – 4.30pm • Dinner in Franschhoek which can be arranged with the guest house or you can dine out in the food capital of South Africa, where many famous local chefs are based. There are also cafes and bistros, and many tourist shops to trawl.
Wine Tour Day 2
Exploring Franschhoek and Stellenbosch • Flexible time in the morning to explore Franschhoek with its picturesque mountain walks and quaint European town appeal. You may also want to visit the French Huguenot Monument. • Boekenhoutskloof wine estate for wine tasting at 10am – Boekenhoutskloof is a Top 5 Wine Estate in South Africa and is well known for award winning wines, particularly Syrah. • Lynx Estate for wine tasting and cellar tour – this is a personalised tour of a boutique estate • Moreson wine estate for wine tasting and lunch at restaurant "Bread and Wine". • Thelema wine estate for sort after wine tasting of noteworthy wines • At 4 – 4.30pm check in to accommodation in Stellenbosch and then have time to stroll around the university town to select a restaurant for an evening meal. Stellenbosch is named after Simon van der Stel and is one of the oldest towns in South Africa.
Wine Tour Day 3
• Collect from Stellenbosch accommodation at 9am. • Rustenburg wine estate for wine tasting – they offer great South African red wines. • Kanonkop wine estate for wine tasting on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain, Kanonkop continue to accumulate major national and international awards for their wines. • Spier Wine Estate for wine tasting and cheetah experience. Spier is Stellenbosch Wineland's most famous destination offering award-winning wines, and many other tourist attractions. • Lunch at moyo at Spier, with Bedouin tents and gazebos placed throughout the garden and creating a setting similar to a nomadic African village, with entertainment and delicious African food to match. • Avontuur wine estate for wine tasting, this is part of the Helderberg wine route. • Return to Cape Town
